SAMSUNG IS MAKING AN OCULUS RIFT VR CLONE

Samsung has probably heard that there is money in VR, so they are jumping in with both legs. Samsung could announce the Oculus Rift competitor this year in an effort to beat Oculus Rift and Sony’s Project Morpheus to market, according to Engadget.
SAMSUNG WILL ENTER VR MARKET Samsung is about to enter another new category. Facebook recently bought Oculus Rift for $2 billion and Samsung is most likely already producing OLED panels for the latest Oculus Rift DK2, so they know where the wind is blowing.
Samsung’s VR headset is designed to work with Samsung’s Galaxy devices, most likely upcoming devices. Select developers already have a developer kit, but the consumer version could arrive as early as later this year if we are to believe the rumors.
Details are scarce at the moment, but it is said to feature an OLED display that is “as good or better” than the 1080p OLED in the latest Oculus Rift. It is also believed to use a wired connection to the phone/tablet and has been designed for Android games.
Samsung is also said to be targeting a lower price than Oculus and Sony. Bron: flatpanelshd
