IPTV valt ook niet via de HTPC te decoderen in België. (voor zover ik weet) Ik heb Belgacom TV, maar ik zou niet weten hoe je 't via de HTPC kan decoderen. En die decoder van Belgacom is al niet veel beter dan de decoder van Telenet.

WeePeeTV was ook gedoemd om te mislukken. Net dategne wat hun clienteel eigenlijk wou hebben (HDTV op een pc, tablet, etc ...) konden ze niet aanbieden. Enkel SD content. Wie zat daar nog op te wachten? Dan kon je net zo goed de openbare zenders gratis via DVB-T ontvangen.

Now that more people are starting to use XBMC 13.0 codename “Gotham,” several issues have popped up which thorough testing hadn’t previously revealed. We have already released two 13.1 beta versions, which had several fixes and improvements compared to the 13.0 stable release. To that end, we are announcing this 13.1 RC1 release which include these fixes. Do note that this release contain only fixes, and no new features. Although we call this a release candidate release, it should be safe to install on top of your current 13.0 install, as changes are minimal and confirmed working. Should you find any problems, you can find how to report these at the bottom of this blog post. This release candidate contains the fixes compared to previous 13.0

• * Fix weirdness when certain TVs query XBMC’s UPnP server and it

De vierde update van versie 4.0 van het Open Embedded Linux Entertainment Center is uitgekomen. Deze Linux-distributie is gebaseerd op XBMC Media Center en kan een computer tot een volwaardige htpc omtoveren. OpenELEC is eenvoudig te installeren, onderhouden en gebruiken, en is verder klein en razendsnel. In versie 4.0, die op XBMC versie 13 gebaseerd is, worden minder verschillende versies aangeboden. Images zijn beschikbaar voor AppleTV, Raspberry Pi en een algemene build voor i386- en x86_64-omgevingen. De specifieke builds voor onder meer AMD's Fusion- en Nvidia's ION-platform zijn verdwenen. Versie 4.0.4 is gebaseerd op de final release van XBMC Media Center versie 13.1 en bevat verder voornamelijk bugfixes.

Now that more people are starting to use XBMC 13.0 codename “Gotham,” several issues have popped up which testing hadn’t previously revealed. After releasing two betas and a release candidate, it’s time for a final 13.1 release. The incorporated fixes are the ones already mentioned in the release candidate announcement, nonetheless we will list them again below. Do note that this release contains only fixes, and no new features. This 13.1 release can be safely installed on top of any previous XBMC releases. Please read the important notice at the bottom as well. Should you find any problems, you can find how to report these at the bottom of this announcement. Very likely we will release another bug-fix release after this version, with additional fixes and small improvements. These are however to intrusive to already include in this 13.1 release, as they need careful testing.

Important notice

Backup your data Before upgrading we would recommend you create a backup of your current userdata folder which contains all your current settings and database files. In the unlikely case that something went wrong during your upgrade, a backup will ensure that you are still able to go back to the previous state. Where the userdata folder is located on your system can be found on our userdata wiki page. Do note that when first upgrading from Frodo 12.x it may take some time until you see the familiar homescreen as several internal upgrades need to be performed.


Add-ons As mentioned in previous blog posts, due to changes related to our add-on system and skin improvement, certain plugins, scripts and skins may become incompatible when upgrading from Frodo to Gotham. Sadly this is part of the continuing process of development and improvement. We hope the impact of these changes will be limited but we feel a warning would be beneficial. If there are any addons you particularly depend on, we advise that you visit the forum thread of that add-on to see if the author has ensured support in XBMC 13.

After you have updated from Frodo or any earlier alpha or beta it may be beneficial to force refresh the XBMC.org repository. This will ensure the most recent repository list is loaded and needed updates become available. Here’s a quick how-to from our wiki: Force refresh


Installing on OSX As XBMC is an unsigned application on OSX, you may need to go through a slightly different process to start it the first time. After you have copied XBMC to the Applications folder, you will need to “right click” or “two finger click” XBMC from within the Applications folder and select “Open” and then accept the warning. You should only need to do this the first time you run XBMC.


Code base Since we have branched the XBMC core code for Gotham off from our main development master branch on Github it is important that you also build from the correct Github branch: http://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/tree/Gotham

Is er een manier om yelotv.be binnen xbmc draaiende te krijgen. Moet mogelijk zijn denk ik, echter er is geen addon voor.   Met yelotv.be kan ik namelijk via internetbrowser (en microsoft silverlight plugin) live tv kijken. En dit wil ik absoluut kunnen VOOR dinsdag 17/6 , dringend ja

XBMC 13.2 Gotham – beta 1   About a month ago we released our 13.1 version which included several bug fixes compared to the 13.0 release. Because of the fact that not all fixes could be included in that point release, we now are happy to announce a 13.2 beta1 version. This includes an additional list of fixes, that should resolve some of the common problems reported by users. Unfortunately we cannot fix all things reported. Hopefully you will understand. Vraagje,   Als ik via xbmc film afspeel, en ik heb geen versterker ertussen hangen, en geluid gaat rechtstreeks naar sonos playbar De film bevat dts track.. Sonos ondersteund geen dts   Kan de htpc deze dan automatisch omzetten naar dd 5.1?   Of zal er helemaal niks uitkomen
